Urban Fragmentation

Disintegration, scraps, particles, elements. The result - urban fragmentation. The medium of photography is used to develop a series of images representing architecture in a fragmented state.

Europe offers a diversity of range in architecture comparable to none - an ancient roman ruin reeking of history, to a newly renovated glass façade in Berlin representing hope and future. The structural integrity of the urban edifice enables beauty to withstand time, but change and grow as need be.

As each piece of architecture, whether it be an entire building, a bridge or a simple post, holds a story of birth, development and completion, so does a photograph. An inspiration, concept developed and image captured. Combining the two genres builds strength in history and offers diverse insights.
